@Username formatting

Heya,

Im a new developer in Notes. Im using 4.5.4a client and Im having trouble with the @Username formatting.

If I create a FIELD using @userrname as the default value I get the full domain spread - which is pretty useless.

I consulted the manual and it said to use @v3username to strip this off. I tried that and now get "Mat Egan/SYD/company name".

Is there anyway to just get "Mat Egan" without using the text conversion tools to strip the parts I dont want?

Many thanks for any help you can provide.

Mat

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi Prenexus,

use this formula as your field default value

@name([CN]; @USERNAME)

This will gives the common name part from @username.

Antony.
