Pbrolems with internal EuroViva modem

I have an internal 56K euroviva modem than won´t work propperly.
When I try to dial, windows tells me that the modem isn´t answering or is busy.
I think the problem has something to do with thte com3 port wich the modem uses. When I try to run a diagnostic on the modem, windows tells me that the com3 is already open.

I can get the modem to work by deleting it from windows and then rebbot and let windows find it again. Then it works until I reboot the computer...

I have tried different drivers, and there´s no vissible conflicts.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

run regedit
go to local machine
go to enum
go to modemwave key
delete the modemwave key
go to control panel
go to modems
remove your modem
restart your computer
install necessary drivers
This should fix it.
