Default Photo Viewer

How can I change my default photo viewer in Windows 98.  I installed a program called Photomorph2 and it automatically made itself the default photo viewer (very annoying).  I have since uninstalled it and windows still looks for it as the default viewer.  I looked in the help file and found what I thought was a solution.  To make it short I went into Windows Explorer, View, Folder Options, File Types, clicked on Jpeg, etc. I followed the instructions, restarted the computer  and it did not work.  Windows still asks for the program I uninstalled.
Any suggestions?

hold down the shift button, right click the file you want to open, select "open with", choose which program you want to open this file with all the time, make sure the box in the bottom left corner that says "Always use this program to open this file" is checked, when it opens,-IE.- you choose to open a jpg with internet explorer-close it, then dblclck the same file to ensure these changes have worked (the file opens with internet explorer again).

go to you windows expalore toolbar
and go to the view bar and at the bottom you will find folder optians
go to it and go to file type
if it was the bmp or jpg formate you want to change the defult program remove them from the list below and then go to any bmp or jpg file and click on it and when the open with window open choose the program you and it to be with if it is not in the list brows for it and get the exe pile of it and assosiante it with the file and do not froget to check the check box at the end of the window
thax and i hope i made
