How to get recordsize from TQuery?

Hi, Experts!
The TQuery component have method GetCurrentRecord(Buffer: PChar), that write the current record to the buffer, but what size this buffer I must reserve?

hi DVallery,

look at the property recordsize of the tbdedataset-object

the you can do something like this

var P : PChar;
begin
  GetMem(P,Query1.Recordsize);
  Query1.GetCurrentRecord(P);
  ...
  FreeMem(P);
end;
