Registry - setting the default value of a key

When i create a key in the registry
i would like to set the default value
(and be able to change them later)
i know how to create delete the key's
create change delete entries and there values but not changing the default value of the key

Can i do this with a universal entrie name?

To set and retrive the default value of a key i just used "" as the value name and it seems to work okay

Well that did the trick
i tried @ as name empty, the key name as entrie name nothing worked.
