I read this in htp manual:

Gemerates the <SCRIPT> and </SCRIPT> tags, which contain a script written in languages such as JavaScript and VBscript.

cscript - the text of the script.
This is the text that makes up the script itself, not the name of a file containing the script.

<SCRIPT LANGUAGE=clanguage>cscript</SCRIPT>

htp.script ('Erupting_Volcano', 'Javascript');

they are saying that the first parameter is the script itself not the name of the file that contains it, but in the example it seems that they gave a filename.

can someone clarify the usage of this?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

just write your script as the first variable of htp.script :

              'function go()
