I use the following line in a FORM

  <INPUT TYPE=text size=10 value=1 disabled readonly>

It works in IE but not in Netscape.
Is there something wrong? How can I make a text box that is readonly in both browers.

Many thanks!

Yes, you're right, it only works in IE, use this for readonly under IE and NS :

<form name='myform'>
<textarea name='mytextarea' onFocus='mytextarea.blur();' >
disable text
</textarea>
</form>

copy paste this code into your body and see what happens.
