"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

This is very easily handled via ODBC. If you have the enterprise version of visual studio, I believe it even comes with the driver. In the ODBC setup, you just add the libraries on the AS400 you will be using, then just execute SQL statements as normal.

I'm not sure if it will actually let you drop or create a new table instance, though.
