i am convinced my pc has a master boot record virus sinces I have run a number of disk utilites on it and they all say the MBR contains invalid infomation. When I try to install NT using the setup disks it gets as far as loading the FAT drivers then hangs (ive tried different setup disks). I also formatted the drive with differend (mainly) seagate software. Pls help.

Have your tried FDISK or FDISK /MBR?
FDISK /MBR will recreate the master boot record.
FDISK will allow you to delete the partitions and recreate them.
Formatting the drive is not as effective as doing FDISK first.

Here is an article from Microsoft on the Boot Partition Size limitations.
