I wanted to use perl's internet commands to access remote URLs.  Can you tell me if Perl is capable of accessing HTTPS (secured HTTP sites)?
And how.
Thanks very much!

Yes, Perl is SSL capable, provided you have some SSL modules, available at:

http://www.perl.com/CPAN-local/modules/by-module/Net/

Look at files starting with: Net_SSLeay.pm
