error message after system is halted

I am using linux-mindrake 6.1
When I issue shutdown -h 0, there is a page showing strange error message after system says'the system is halted'
The wordings like 'unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address 0000872b' and 'segmentation fault' in /etc/rc.d/rc0.d/s00hlt : line1

do You have APM support in the KErnel? ( check if /proc/apm exists, and what's in it...) if so, and if You don't need it, compile a new kernel without. If You need APM, you have to try all combinations of options for APM in the kernel configuration...

I heard similar answer from my friend later. I thought my kernel might include APM support, but I already deactivated the apmd.
