HTTPS access through Winsock Control possible?

I want to be able to access https pages (SSL).  Is it possible to do this by simply providing a https:// extension to my GET call ie:

Winsock1.Execute "GET https://www.mysecurepage.com/index.htm"

I want it to return back just the htm page information.  Once i see what is on the page i am done.  It is imparative though that the other site know that my side is secure too (or at least think that my side is secure).

Thanks

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Try using the Inet Transfer control instead. That is how I am doing it. I think it's called Microsoft Internet Transfer control, then you want to do something like this with it...

MyPageText = ConfigureForm.Inet1.OpenURL("https://www.mysecurepage.com/index.htm")

then, "MyPageText" should contain the pages text.
