Installation of HP DAT drive

I've got an HP 35470A SCSI DAT drive, which I'm going to attach to the SCSI port on my Dell RedHat Linux 6.0 machine.  What do I need to do in Linux so that the DAT can be accessed: I notice the HOWTO on ftape says that DATs aren't covered.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Plug it in, install proper module for the SCSI controller (which you prolly already have done if the SCSI card shows up). Thats all, then just use tar to access the drive. (or get something like BRU ( to handle backup needs)
