Installation of HP DAT drive

Hello

I've got an HP 35470A SCSI DAT drive, which I'm going to attach to the SCSI port on my Dell RedHat Linux 6.0 machine.  What do I need to do in Linux so that the DAT can be accessed: I notice the HOWTO on ftape says that DATs aren't covered.

Thanks

Plug it in, install proper module for the SCSI controller (which you prolly already have done if the SCSI card shows up). Thats all, then just use tar to access the drive. (or get something like BRU (www.bru.com) to handle backup needs)

Ps: FTAPE stands for "Floppy Tape" so no wonder it doesnt cover DAT's
