Usage of DBNavigator

Hey guys,

I want to replace the "Delete record",
with another text - how the heck do I do that ;-)
I tried using the BeforeAction event, but this does not prevent the record from beeing deleted if ..it just calls something before its actually deleted ..great eh ;-))

Regards,

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

hi gomf,

why not use the BeforeDelete-event from your dataset, like

procedure TForm1.Table1BeforeDelete(DataSet: TDataSet);
begin
  If Not someCondition then
    Abort; //Cancel deletion
end;

appendix,

if you mean the hints of the dbnavigator-buttons just replace the hint-line in the property hints.
the default is:

First record
Prior record
Next record
Last record
Insert record
Delete record
Edit record
Post edit
Cancel edit
Refresh data
