I am trying to populate an access database from combo boxes/textboxes in VB. I do not get an error, but the field"model" is still left blank.

Any input would be appreciated.

Private Sub cmdAdd_Click()
If vbclicked = True Then

rst.Fields("Model") = Trim(txtTest.Text)
End If

End Sub

Edited text of question.
Did you leave out the opening of the database?
If you are only updating the single field of a table and there is a record existing then use rst.edit instead of rst.addnew.or try the following statments

dim rst as recordset;
 dim db as database
set rst = db.openrecordset("Select Model from tablename", dbopendynaset)

rst.fields(0) =trim(texttest.tect)
