Is it possible to write a BIOS setup utility using Java.  Can you call BIOS interrupts from a Java application.  I want to be able to change the boot sequence of a system remotely.

no you cannot change the BIOS setup, bcos java needs to run using a JVM. This JVM will load only after the OS loads. All calls in Java are directed to the OS which handles them.

You can create embedded applications, but still your programs will run inside a JVM.
