MFC -begineer need information

What is MFC. Are these clases same for both VB and VC++. i  am more interested in VC++.
Give me up-to point information and please avoid using difficult termenologies.

MFC is Microsoft Foundation Class Library. It is a framework/class library for Windows programming. It encapsulates a large portion of the Windows Application Programming Interface (API) in C++ form. The following technical article provides you with an overview.
