Thanks very much,

I hope you get things to work.

I recently have been having many problems with quick reports, but have somehow managed to get past all of them. I like the fact that crystal exports beforeprint and afterprint events directly linked to your delphi source code.. it allows a fair amount of power.. but my good ness it takes long to figure out workarounds for things that should theoretically work by setting properties...

oh well,
good luck thank you for da points
I think that puts that much closer to  40000 mark :-)

Rob ;-)

Rob,

>>doh
hehe:)

Narrowed the problem down to crpe32.dll (Crystal report engine) not releasing the ODBC connection - was able to do that mainly due to your fresh input on the subject. it's out of my hands now.

Crystal vs Quickreports: a q i ask myself many a time.
For me it depends on the project, for this one I need on demand subreports that can execute SP's on the server, Crystal does that nicely.

thanks again the 40000 mark is well deserved
Ben:)
