Opening Explorer

When I open explorer it always opens in the windows directory - can this be changed somehow?

Right click on the shortcut and click properties, then put the path in the "target" for the folder you want it to start at

Whoops that is not correct, what I meant was right click on the folder you want to start from (or HD) then select explore from the drop down menu.
If you don't have the explorer option on your drop down menu let me know and I will show you how to add it
