Routing Table

I am having problems trying to add another entry into the table. It works the first time with the command:

Route add -net 10.0.1.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 eth0

but then after a while or when I reboot the machine the entry disappears.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

When you add routes that way, there are not permanently.. there are just for the session...
If you want the routes being permanently, you nedd to add to rc.local the line:
route add -net 10.0.1.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 eth0

then the route will be added for each time you boot your system...
