Network card problem

Is there any auto detect feature for a PCI network card if I reinstall Red Hat 6.0? If yes, pls highlight the things that I need to pay attention as to ensure the NIC is properly detected and installed.

Pls advise.

Yes, it will autoprobe the first NIC, in the case of PCI, it generally always succeedes, but if not, knowinf exactly which make / model / chipset it is helps. After that, just set IP / mask / GW as usual.
