Identification in NE4

I know how to supply username and password in the URL in IE5 (http://username:password@www.mysite.com), but then I tried this in NE4 it didn´t work...
Is there a way to supply the username and password in the URL for NE4?

Use htaccess which should work for any brouser. This is a pretty standard way to ask for user name and password and just about all ISP's should support it.

Try it again - I use Netscape alone and the http://username:passwd@www.site.com always works for me... perhaps a stoke on the end might help but it works for me !

Does the $conn=mysql_connect() bit work ?

Also, after your connecting bit, try  putting an "echo mysql_error();" after it and seeing what the error is.

BTW just an obvious bit, but you do have the mysql daemon started, don't you ?

Thanks for your answer.

Since we didn't have no password, I had to use "%20" where you usualy put the password, to get it to work.

Kind Regards
