"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Any of the following:

0. If it's Windows98, it's probably the fax. Remove the MS-Fax you installed from the Outlook.
1. Get Windows NT 5.
2. ReInstall your windows. With nothing installed it shouldn't crash.
2a. Reinstall you software 1 by 1 till you find out where it's going wrong.
3. Get CrashSafe from Symantec.
4. Wait for Windows 2000.
5. Remove windows98 and install Windows 3.11.
6. If your computer still crashes, you have a hardware problem (non-windows-compatable computer). Go back to the store and get a computer that works with windows without crashing.

Hope this helps,
