changing screen resolution

i have successfully installed linux mandrake 6.1 - KDE looks stunning but i need to change the resolution - someone suggested xconfigurator - i serahced high and low all over -- where is this thing and how do i run it?

but,  you can also try XF86Setup:

XF86Setup is not installed by defualt... you need to add it manually.... but it's on your CD

both are standar apps. to help you to configure X.

you can also comment the lines that refer to the unwanted configuration in the /etc/XF86CONFIG after your configuration
