Win2000 RC3 Install

I have a hardware setup of an Abit BE6 mainboard, and a Quantum Fireball CX 13.1Gb harddrive connected to the DMA/66 controller. I have Windows 98 installed and I'm trying to install Windows 2000 RC3 on another partition. The problem I have is that I never get as far as choosing on which partition and what directory I want to install it on, because after the install program has restarted the computer the first time, and just has loaded the device drivers, it gives me a bluescreen saying "Unaccessible-boot-device". So I try to install the DMA/66 driver from the BE6 driver disk (for NT4), it finds it and happily loads it but again after it has finished loading all the other device drivers too, it gives me a bluescreen saying about "_memory_ x _memory_ x _memory_ : scsiport.sys". So is it the DMA/66 driver that fails or do I have other hardware problems. If it's the driver, where can I get a working driver for NT5(win2000)? . nice huh?

Go to this web page and there is full instuctions for the win2k install.

The BE6 and BP6 use the same Highpoint ata66 controller

There is a link there for special win2k Highpoint drivers that you need.

The error you describe is being caused by not having the correct ata66 driver.
