I would guess if he finds Excel than in generel it is working.<br />
Check if the all path stuff is set correctly. See if you can start Word from cmmmand line in the MSDOS window. And check if you used the correct constant for the Word Object, I recall there were different ones depending on the versionof Word.

Thanks for this info, but I guess, that this is a general problem because I have two different total new installed PCs. I installed MS OFFICE 97 and R5 correct so that I don't think about wrong path. If you can tell me the places where I can check if the pathes are correct, please let me know.<br />

I tried to use embedded WORD documents in R5, but NOTES will not find the<br />

I tried this with the MSDOCLIB5 and with some customised databases on<br />

Hy all,

I tried to use embedded WORD documents in R5, but NOTES will not find the

I tried this with the MSDOCLIB5 and with some customised databases on
different computers .... but no succes.

Other OLE applications like EXCEL or PowerPoint are running well.

Please let me know if this is a known problem and what I have to do against
it???

OLE-Problems with MS WORD in R5

Lotus Software produced the Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheet program, and later developed Lotus Notes, a groupware and email system. Following its acquisition by IBM, the Notes and Domino client/server collaborative platform were expanded to include functions such as email, calendars, to-do lists, contacts management, teamrooms, discussion forums, file sharing, microblogging, instant messaging, blogs, and user directories. IBM also release SmartSuite, a comprehensive office suite, and followed that with Symphony, unrelated to the Lotus suite of the same name.
