How to start ftp service?

I hv installed RedHat 6.1. is ftp installed?? I can't start ftp service while telnet works fine!
The error is "service not available".
What should I config?
Who is Participating?

Install the "anonymous ftp" package.

Or better yet, go to and grab that, since it is miles better then the wu-ftpd server.

Just uncomment the line in /etc/inetd.conf that talks about ftp and then as root do:

 killall -HUP inetd
Content-Disposition: form-data; name="notify"

Content-Disposition: form-data; name="Submit"
