Extended memory in VC++

I am currently adding a Visual C++ GUI to a piece oc C code which was written for dos.  The origional code only used the base memory, If I do this will VC++ allow me to use extended memory without any addational coding

As far as I know the (modern) VC's only target 32 bit applications. Those do not need extended memory since can already access all memory the system has.
Right, all versions after VC 152 support only 32 bit programs.  "extended memory" is not relevant to these programs.
Which is ur VC version and r us using Win3.1 or prev.
