VB6 Bug

Does anyone know of a bug in VB 6 that gives an error amout a .tmp file not being found and subsequently a form sizing down to its title bar. When the form is resized the controls on it are missing? Any fix or way to avoid this????

Are you using sourcesafe ?? I used to get this error when the project file wasn't checked out (or wasn't writable)...

I do have VSS turned on but I am not using it.
Hmmm, are any of the files read-only.. I'm sure I've seen that error before.
No files are read-only. This is happening in a project with only two forms they are working on. I am teaching in a classroom environment and have seen this same error occur with at least one student every week. I have been unable to determine what they are doing to cause it( if anything ) and how to fix or prevent it.

It has happened on different images. But they have all been on stand alone NT Servers with SQL Server. That is the setup for the class. I think you may be right about VSS because I found a temp folder for it that contained the exact .tmp file that caused the error. I do need VSS loaded because it will be used but maybe I can unload it untill its needed. Thanks for your help.I'll try and see.
