Search and replace text or links on a web site

I currently use Front Page 2000 for creating web sites. I am looking for a way to search and replace the same line of text from 300 plus pages without having to ok each one. Front Page makes you confirm each change. Is there a better program out there that will search and replace text in html either inconjunction with Frontpage or stand alone?

I use CodeWright for all my text editing needs. It has mutiple file search and replace, as well as color syntax highlighting, column selection/cut/paste, and many other useful text editing functions.

I beleive HomeSite (from Allaire) will do this.  It's also a pretty good HTML editor, and it used to have AWESOME documentation for HTML, etc.

I switched to Homesite about 6 months ago and have been using it almost extensively for all my coding needs.

The extended find/replace will search an entire directory tree and every file in it.

If you do not want to by homesite, you can download a free 30-day evaluation of XReplace32.  This will do exactly what you are asking and is very fast.  It has more functionality than Homesite, and if you want to keep it it only costs about $39US.

Go to:

to download the 30-day trial version.
