.\iosubsys corrupted?

Hi,

after I installed Direct X on my Laptop without an error message, I rebootet my computer. During the Boot process the following error message occurs:
"During initializationn of IOS:
Error: The driver of the I/O-System is not loaded.
One file in the subdirectory .\iosubsys is corrupted or it is not enough
RAM available."
(Translation from German to English)
The Boot process is stopped. I have to reboot.

The directory C:\Windows\System\Iosubsys is there. The files in it are not broken and 'Scandisk' didn't report any errors.
Booting in 'safe modus' (Translation from German to English) to Win95 is possible.

What can I do?

Thanks and bye,
Jan.

Jan,

Go to http://www.microsoft.com/support/ and search for "iosubsys". There is a patch from Microsoft available for this problem.
