Windows Update ?

I just received 98 Service Pack 1.
I slid it into the disk and followed the directions, everything seemed to have went fine BUT, now in my C drive I have a new folder "Windows Setup Files" with about 30 or so Zipped files. I did not want those. Can I delete them? All I wanted (I Think) was the year 2000 updates. Do I have to unzip these files to get year 2000 Win 98 update?
PII 450 Win 98 128MB Ram
Thanks!

Thank You cmcgee for the reply.
Due to my ignorance I would like you to eleborate a little further.
I understiid that all I needed to do was run the disk and all updates were automatically installed.
Are you saying these zipped files are ok to delete after or before I unzip them. The reason i ask this is because when I unzip the file there are numerous other files in there, and before you can blink I`m looking at close to 200 or more so called updates.
Thanks again.

No Problem, I should of been clearer in my response.

If you have already ran the Y2kw98.exe and followed through with all the prompts, you can safely delete those files.

If you are unsure, simply re-run the Y2kw98.exe and then delete the residual files afterwards.

Let me know if that helps,
Craig
