Converting realvideo to .mov or .avi (or .wav)

I've got a RealVideo clip I want to extract the audio from and convert it to a .wav file... I cant find software ANYWHERE that does this. Sure, I can run a cable from my audio out into my line in and hit play and record at the same time, but thats a hacky, cheezy way to do it. Anyone know of anything?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

a suggestion, go to download.com
type raw to wave into the search engine.
there is a raw to wave conversion utility out there.  it's free.  it might be what you're looking for.

Yeah but it's a realvideo clip, not a raw clip...

Its called extracting the audio. Dont bother 'answering' a question if you dont have an answer.

edskee, given that I gave you the information you needed for a network boot disk in the form of a comment in order to be polite, only to learn that you then deleted the question, I will give you the benefot of the doubt that you did that by accident. However, I expect the points to be awarded for my answer to that question, and if they aren't I will make every effort to have your priviledges here suspended or removed.

Accept this as your rejected answer to my other question. Please, go to every effort to have my privlidges removed or suspened. That is very mature, to 'make every effort to have your priviledges here suspended or removed' over some arbitrary points on a webpage.

I'd give you all my points, I don't care, they mean nothing to me. I dont win a prize, I don't get dates or free drinks at the local bar from lots of points. Dunno, guess you do somehow, but when I am threatened, see how likely I am to cooperate.

Go ahead, use your thousands of points, cash them in, and get me removed.

I've already alerted E&E and I'll make sure that I tag every question you ask with the same statement!

Your point being? I'm gonna email E&E and find out what these points can be traded in for! Sex? Cars? Drugs? If you are going to go through the effort of checking daily any questions I ask just to tag it for a measly 100 points, these things must be worth more than cash. Hell, I wouldnt go through that much trouble for a real $100 bill, let alone 100 virtual points which mean absolutely NOTHING whatsoever. Heck, have fun... I've got better things to do than to worry about it. Anything else further from you won't even be looked at. Thanks for your time.

It's called ethics, obviously something you know nothing about!

Calm down guys...it's hard to read this thread without forgetting about the *real* question/problem.

edskee:
Never heard of a possibility to extract audio from Real content.
I don't think that the "Real" guys would develop a tool to convert their "best-codec-of-the-world" to a standard codec like WAV...
Same thing vice versa, so you may use your speakers and a mic to manage this.

A very good software I know is Premiere from Adobe.
Most of known codecs are supported and lots of import/export filters available.
But no RealVideo or -audio.

Best regards
