I have designed a customised form for use with a contacts type folder.  I now want to transfer it to another PC (not networked).  I know I can so this in Outlook 98 - but how do I get to it in Outlook 97?

Open the form in design mode.

Do a File > Save As.

Save it as a Template (OFT)

Copy the template to a floppy.

Double click on the template.

Off the menu, either File or Tools, I forget which, choose Publish Form As

Note that, if you have customized the first page of the Contact form in OL98, your OL97 users will not be able to use it.

Mohnshine's comment works as far as the saving goes (this bit I had already achieved -as it goes).  The bit I still can't do is to open my saved template in OL97.  In OL98, when you choose the form to use, you have the option of "Browsing" your whole system - so you can get to A: . This option isn't there in OL97 - you only get to look at Outlook's templates - maybe I need to directly transfer my template into this Outlook folder - but where is it?

Further experimentation shows that some of my problem is designing in OL98 and trying to use the form in OL97!
However saving the form in the Outlook Templates library does give me access to it and I even managed to make it my default form!!  Now can I do it again?!!

Don't suppose you can advise on free upgrades to OL98 - then I could solve most of my problems!!
