Hp 694C printer

have Hewlett-Packard 8240. Windows 98 , had a problem installing the Intel video phone.  Intel's support had me delete my temporary folder.  And the phone installed after that. The folder is still in recycle bin.  The Intel video phone would not install for some reason without deleting this folder.

Now for some reason I'm not sure if it's because of deleting this folder my Hewlett-Packard 694c printer only prints photos and cards in faded colors, with a blue haze in the background.  Prior to this the colors were clear and sharp.  Now they're faded unclear.  I tried reinstalling the printer software, but this did not help.

Thank you

Did you change your video resolution as part of the Vid phone by any chance?

On many printers this can make a big difference in print quality.

Thank you for responding to my question about the Hewlett-Packard 694c.  You were right there was a significant difference in the print quality, when I ran the photo cartridge and changed the screen resolution to its original setting.  Appreciate your help.

Have any idea what I should do with that temporary file?  Remove it from the recycle bin, or attempt to restore it?

Thank you
I'd restore the temporary folder.  This folder is used for several Operating System processes and should be in place for the OS to use.

If restoring the temp folder causes the video phone to quit I'd give Intel a call.  Since the folder is used by the OS, it is something they would want to be aware of.

As an aside many installers these days use the temp folder to create some uninstall information.  That may be failing for some reason.

Best of Luck.
