Hard drive data recovery

I recently had hard drive failure.The local fixit reformatted the drive and it is usable again. Is there any way to recover the data that was previously on the drive?

yes... Norton Utilities has un-format capability...
just MAKE SURE you dont put ANYTHING on the lost partition
(c: d:)

otherwise you just wrote information on top of your old directorys and you will not be able to recover

i have done several recovers succesfully this way
