login msacces database

Hi
I'm playing with sql and msacces database

I made a database in acces with no login or pass but every time my program start it ask for pass and login.
I need to leave this fields empty and everthing is ok but that is so borry.

Can I avoid on some way this login and pass popup if my database don't require that.

hi monster,

try this

use the TDatabase Component,
give on the Property DataBaseName a name
give on the Property AliasName the Name of the Alias you want to use

on the TTable(s) and/or TQuery(s) Components you use the Property DataBaseName should have the same entry as TDataBase.DataBaseName.

Now you can use Following code :

procedure TForm1.Database1Login(Database: TDatabase;
  LoginParams: TStrings);
{The Event OnLogin from TDataBase}
begin
  LoginParams.Values['USER NAME'] := 'YourUserName'; //or empty if none
  LoginParams.Values['PASSWORD'] := 'YourPassWord'; //or empty if none
end;

procedure TForm1.BitBtn1Click(Sender: TObject);
begin
  {Connect Now}
  database1.connected := true;
  table1.open;
end;

good luck on the try

Hi Monster,

If you are sure you'll never use a password and username, I suppose you can just set the LoginPrompt-property of your DataBase-component to False.

I think this should work too.

to monster, this is a not so complicated name :-),

howto change the email address:
click on your name (on the top right og the blinking sentence 'Ask a question Now')

- on the retrieved page click on the edit-button
- on the retrieved page type in your password, change your eMail-address and press submit

ready

to wimmeyvaert,

yup, thats correct except you must now fill the params of the Tdatabase with
USER NAME=
PASSWORD=

To kretzschmar,

Are you sure you have to fill in those 2 parameters?
I've tried it out without those parameters filled in, and it works too!

Greetings,

The Mayor ;-)
