Try one or both of the following:

I am assuming you are running PC with windows.

Remove the drivers for your present card (<start> <settings> <control panel> <system> <device manager> <display adaptors> select your adaptor and hit <remove>.  *MAKE SURE you have a copy of the driver for your present card*

Shut down your PC.  Unplug it and remove the old card.  Replace it with the new card and restart your computer.

Your PC will boot in 16-bit color and should recognize that there is a new card installed (Windows has found a new device... Would you like to install...)  Go through the prompts.  At some point, it will request that you install the proper drivers.  Direct your PC to search online and the C:\ drive.  Else, your computer will recognize the card and install the proper driver automatically -feature that works much better in Win98 SE-

Reboot.  You will now have to set your display again.

If you run into problems, re-install your old card and search www.3dfx.com  They make the voodoo cards.  There is a list of drivers there you can download or a help form you can fill out.

Good luck
