DNS expert needed?

Hi,

www.abc.com 22.22.22.22 in my old-server
search.abc.com 22.22.22.33 (old-server) move to

new-server 11.11.11.99 (different location)
AND each time when someone goto http://search.abc.com ,
 it goes to new-server 11.11.11.99 .....

Any ideas ?  have to modify DNS? apache? or?

You just need to change your DNS server configuration...  and restart your dns server
(/etc/rc.d/init/named restart)

In your named.boot or named.bott file (depending the version of bind you're using... you have the names of the files containing the description of your zones.
In those files, you have, some registry entris like this one:

www.abc.com. IN A 22.22.22.22
search.abc.com. IN A  22.22.22.33

change the server name you want to change to:

search.abc.com. IN A 11.11.11.99

after that, restart your named:

/etc/rc.d/init/named restart

  And it's done...
