REPORT PROBLEM

Hay,

I have found difficult to work with Crystal Report.  I can not able to use
Crystal Report with the couple of Tables. For Instance, I want to use of two
different Tables should be shown in Crystal Report.

Example :

No      Value            Qty      Amount
1      200.00            5      1000.00
2      500.00            5      2500.00
                        -------
Total                        3500.00
                        -------

Rupees : Three Thousand Five Hundred only

Party                  S.T.No            Divison            Place
Haritha Rubber            200/19            Chennai            Mahabalipuram
Automotive Industries      599/20            Madurai            North Kudi
Lakshmi Spun            488/30            Coimbatore      Gandhipuram

In above, Filed might be 10 or 15 in the both field depends on the records, but the total
should be come at First Table only and the second table did not have the total.  Somebody
said to link both tables in crystal report (smart linking method), but I don't have the
relational field to link the both table. For that I would like to know that can
we able to add another one Details Row in Crystal Report or suggest any other way to do
 this Report.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

ADD THE TWO TABLES USING SQL JOIN QUERY LIKE THE FOLLOWING :

SELECT NAME,ADDRESS FROM CUSTOMER
UNION
SELECT NUMBER, SUBJECT FROM RESULT

THEN SAVE THIS QUERY AS QUERYDEF IN YOUR DATABASE.

THEN REFER THIS QUERYDEF IN YOUR CRYSTAL REPORTS.

THE REST PROCEDURES ARE AS USUAL.
