Why don't I see my modem speed once I have connected.. Unless I manage to connect at 48kbps all I see is 115200bps.. I have got the latest drivers for my modem, but it makes no difference. I seem to remember someone once mentioning that windows was reporting my DTE is most cases (except the 48kps connection). So, anyone know how to make Windows report my connection speed to the net, rather than my modem?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Add 'W1' or 'W2' into the "extra settings" in the "advanced" configuration for the modem.
