Can I make my NT5 to update the content of briefcase automatically?

I have tried to use Synchronization Manager provided in NT5. However, in some cases I must use (maybe I don't know) briefcase, such as organize the files in tree structure, or a files that need absolute/relative path for some other programs in the machine.
