How can i add new services into my existing RedHat 6.1 Linux server which is running e.g. squid proxy server

just stick the startup command in /etc/rc.d/rc.local

Or if you meant "how do i INSTALL" new service.

for squid, find a squid rpm

then do (as root) "rpm -Uvh squid-version-something.rpm"

then edit the config file in /etc/squid.conf

on the RH cd, or RH Ftp.
