Giving a Sql Query a Priority

We are running an app, that uses a lot of the CPU. While that app is running we want to run reports that hit the database hard as well.  Is there a way to put the Reports at a lower priority, so the app isn't affected so much?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Unfortunately there is no way to do what you want. You can try using WAITFOR statement in the code of Reports. To get more detail see “Using WAITFOR” topic in BOL.
