"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Theoretically, as Windows is a multitasking OS, you can do this.  However, I have run into problems with both Netscape and IE4 and 5 when viewing multiple Java based pages.  These problems occur more often with netscape but not exclusively.  As Dew mentioned, you should be able to do this but recognize that if you are getting errors from your browser while viewing multiple java based pages, that could be the problem.  Also, having more RAM in your system ( at least 64MB ) will definately help with this in addition to having a good NON-Winmodem.
