What is the difference between 6200, 6300

I would like to purchase an HP scanner for my home.  I have HP 6200 at work and like it.  Now HP has released 6300.  What are the technical differences between these two models?  Most reveiws do not compare the two models, and other sources of info are conflicting.  Thanks in advance

Ive never used this site before, so maybe this was not an appropriate type of question or something, but the answer didn't solve my problem.  I'n sure that somewhere in that unorganized list of specs was the info I was looking for, but that list was impossible to interpret.  There was no way to associate the spec with the scanner model.  Maybe I should restate the question as "what are the advantages of buying a 6300 model scanner over a 6200?".

The 6300C has five buttons that enable you to quickly place scanned images into the scanning software, fax program, document management program, email program, or output to the printer.  The 6200C has one button which does the same thing and can be programmed to open more than one program (from a list you choose from after pushing the button).

The software with the 6300C has added the "Scan To" feature so that after scanning an image you can tell the software where to send the scan.  The newer software also features an invert button.

The optical hardware is twice as capable for the 6300C - 1200x2400 ppi vs the 6200C at 600x1200 ppi.  The 6300C has an Automatic Document Feeder accessory just like the 6200C and also has an optional backlit 35mm transparency adapter for scans of 35mm slides and other transparent material up to 5"x5".

More like what you were looking for?
