Date/Time Control

Is there any way to clear the date in a date time control (without using the DTS_SHOWNONE style)? The reason for this would be so that when a form is activated for the first time the user is not forced to use some pre-set value.
Should I use some other control?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I don't believe you can do that with the standard control... using the DTS_SHOWNONE style will show no entry, but the user is forced to click a checkbox when the date is entered...  the mscal80.ocx is another alternative...
No, there's no way to do it. If no date is approprate, you should use the DTS_SHOWNONE style.

You might want to make your own edit control that has a button next to it. The button can drop-down a month/calendar control. You can make the edit control read-only, too.
