Netscape hangs every time

I have a problem with Netscape Communicator 4.7 - 4.6. I can't get it to work for more than a few minutes. It crashes with an error message about a memory error with kernel32.dll (if I remember correctly). I used 4.7 at first and then I installed 4.6, but it doesn't work either. The reason I'm using Netscape is that I like it and I need the mail and newsgroups. And no, I won't use Outlook, since it spreads all the e-mail viruses...

My computer is AMD 450, 4.3 Gb + 15.2 Gb, Diamond Viper 770, SB Live! etc. If anyone has an answer I'd be grateful.
Thanks.

Ok. I'll try, but how could the cache crash the whole thing? Anyway, I'll try your suggestion soon. Thanks.
Sorry, It should be <<The cache directory for Howard >> for Antti-2

iceman, "cache" folder is used by Netscape which is the same as IE5 "Temporary Internet folder". If temporary files downloaded during online has misplaced causing that Netscape cannot find the right folder for caching, it will crash.

Yeah, I know what cache is, but I still can't believe it would crash. Anyway, I'll get on it as soon as I can.
 Thanks.
Ok it worked. Thanks. The whole problem seemes to be a bug in Netscape. I had set the cache directory to be on another harddisk, and N didn't like that at all... Thanks.
