Command line too long?
Hi.
Running IRIX 6.5.5.
I have a makefile, which does compilation using CC.
One of the CC invokations includes using lots of arguments.
When running normally, it succeedes.
But, After I load lot of environment variables, I get an error that the the argument line is too long.
Is there anything I can do in order to make it work?

either use xargs, or change the kernel settings (AFAIK this can be done without reboot)

But, is it reasonable that when my environment is "clear" - it works fine, but when it is loaded - it doesn`t wok?

Well, I really found one parameter in the kernel.
I can`t remember it`s name right now.
You helped me a lot.
Thanks,
Stam.
