win 98 downloading zip file problem
when I download zip files they end up being designated as 'paint' files. when I try to open them I get a message saying I cannot open this file using paint, and MSPaint appears onscreen
Bill, what do you mean it is designated as 'paint'. What extention is on the file. A zip file should be .zip

Bill, give this a try:
1. Open Windows Explorer.
2. Locate a ZIP file on your system in the right window.
3. Click on the ZIP file once to highlight it.
4. Now hold the shift key down with your left hand and at the same time right click on the highlight file. A window will open, select "open with" and another window will open. Scroll down to your unzip program (winzip32) etc and select it.
Now restart the system and your zip files should open with your unzip program and be associates with it.
